Cuisine Companion Egg Tarts


These egg tarts are our family favourites. I'm happy that I found the recipe, that is almost
similar or even better to the tarts sold at our local bakery in our hometown. I adapted the methods to suit our 
cuisine companion, and it's a very big success! This special treat melts in your mouth. I
hope you can try making this yourself with your lovely cuisine companion :)

P.S. If you are in Australia and is looking for tart tins, don't worry. I've
used silicone muffin cups from Kmart, and it works!



Preparing the pastry dough
Pastry ingredients : butter, plain flour, icing sugar, egg, milk powder & essence of vanilla

Stop pulsing the dough when the dough begins to come together

Pressed the dough with your hands

Divide dough into smaller balls, weigh each ball, 30gm each.

Managed to yield 21 small dough balls

 Press dough onto the surface of the tart tin

Preparing the egg custard mixture
Ingredients for egg custard : Eggs, milk, sugar and essence of vanilla

Sieve the custard mixture to remove the impurities. This is an important steps for a silky smooth custard
